First Horizon Bank Finance Manager in Coral Gables, Florida

Summary

Produce detailed analytics and performance reporting around various areas of the bank and consult with finance and business leaders to develop action plans to meets their needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare profitability, balance sheet, and performance reporting on a monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc basis.

• Develop intuitive user dashboards and interfaces using Power BI and other analytical platforms for enhanced data visualization.

• Communicate financial insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders through presentations and reports.

• Support various financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, funds transfer pricing, profitability, interest rate risk and investment management.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in financial analysis methodologies, reporting systems, and workflow processes, leveraging Power BI and SQL for data-driven insights.

• Actively participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving data accuracy/completeness for reporting.

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis to deliver precise financial data to management for informed decision-making.

• Engage in ad hoc financial projects to address specific business needs and challenges.

• Fulfill all other duties as assigned by management.

Manage direct reports to meet team objectives in a timely and efficient manner

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Additionally, the qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required in this position:

  1. Bachelor (4-year college) degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; and 8+ years of experience

  2. Five or more years of financial analysis, preferably within a financial institution

  3. Solid understanding of finance principles, including bank balance sheets

  4. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends, perform complex calculations and interpret data.

  5. CPA/MBA/CFA/Accounting firm experience a plus

  6. Strong presentation (oral and written communication) skills with ability to effectively communicate to senior executives and finance partners.

  7. Advanced computer skills required: Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power BI

  8. Preferred skills: Hyperion Essbase, SQL, SAS, Alteryx

  9. Proven leadership abilities with experience managing a team and leading projects.

  10. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a proactive and results-oriented approach to work.

  11. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations (Ex: CPA, Series 6 or 7 license, etc)

None required – However, CPA, MBA or CFA preferred.
